Shooting into the eye of the storm

A smidgeen of blue sky this morning and the rain actually stopped for a bit. We rushed out and did the Pier Loop. Amazing skies, heavy showers, ever changing colours - it was good to be in the countryside and we only got slightly wet - briefly - quite a few times. Quite wet shortly after this was taken! The weather has now closed in and it's hailing!. Time to light the fire.

The recent winds have brought in all sorts of seaweed and last night I gathered some in and treated myself to a seaweed bath. So easy and so blissful. First shake out small hoppy things and little snails and then throw an armful of seaweed in a hot bath. Utterly heavenly . This seaweed releases a kind of gloop which sounds disgusting but in fact is really nice, very soothing and anti- toxicating, I also had a mud face mask (admittedly commercial as opposed to locally sourced bog) and a cucumber water eye pad thingies applied. I slept like a log - probably slighly whiffy though.

And one year ago the weather was pretty lively too!
