In Bath the hot springs have been providing pleasure and relaxation to the locals for thousands of years. The Romans came along and developed it even further. Then it all went a bit murky and full of bugs until in 2006 the Thermae Spa was opened and now has a couple of pools, lots of relaxing treatments and a very good cafe. I had a few hours to spend in Bath today and going to the Spa was a good thing to do on a wet Sunday.
The picture shows the old Hot Bath building, and you can see the glass surround of the open air pool on the roof top. It was interesting being in the lovely hot water up there when a freezing shower of rain fell like little cold pinpricks on my shoulders.
