Orchard clover

Today we had a little lie in... After a few task round the house, we went up to the community orchard in the village to do some autumn weeding and distributing some mulch to put the trees to bed for the winter. We had just enough volunteers and were able to mulch all the trees in about an hour or so. We then had a nice cup of tea and some cakes - made from fruit gown in the orchard!

Today's blip is a close up one of the red clover (Trifolium pratense) plants that was not only growing but in flower. Today it was warm enough to work outside in a T-shirt, in fact it was warm enough to actually stand around without a jumper on...
