A flagged farewell

I had just too many photos to choose from today. I finally selected the one above probably because I'm listening to the funeral service for our former Mayor of the City Of Boston, Thomas Menino. A series of beautifully spoken good byes for a man from humble beginnings who served his city faithfully for twenty years. Former President Bill Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden are among the many paying respects along with untold thousands lining the streets of Boston. A life well lived, ended far too soon. The service is as lovely as the day, bright blue skies, cold and clear.

Here are some of the other contenders today, many more on Flickr since I couldn't decide which to upload, so I just kept adding.

Mr. Cardinal

A hungry Bluejay

A guest from the woods.

A Tufted Titmouse

For the Record,
This day came in with bone chilling cold and a brisk wind. As the weather forecaster said this morning, we on the South Shore "got enough snow too track a cat." The earliest recorded snow in recorded weather history in our area.

All hands improving.
