November flowers

This morning was like a summer day for a while as I worked in the garden. At one point I looked up into our large Corkscrew Willow tree to take in the lovely red climbing rose that is still flowering and was knocked out to see great curtains of flowers from this beautiful clematis, which we inherited with the house. I think it must be a form of Clematis cirrhosa. It is clearly enjoying the wet and relatively mild late autumn. By mid afternoon the sky had darkened and I got a soaking as I tried to finish my garden project.
