Sunset

This afternoon we attended the funeral of the son of good friends. He was 41 years old, and had been fighting cancer for two years. He was courageous, and travelled to the United States for treatment not available here. Funds were raised in Scotland, Ireland and Sweden to enable him to do this and it appeared to be working for a while, but in the end the cancer took over.

He leaves a devastated mum and dad, a devoted wife and three children, and will be very sadly missed by many.

On the way home I saw this sunset, perhaps not the best sunset I have ever photographed, but somehow it seemed appropriate.
