Autumn by the River

It's a very balmy 11 degrees here today with lovely blue skies and plenty of sunshine. I took my camera to the park in search of some autumn colour. The workmen were in the process of cutting down a couple of really big trees along the riverbank, for safety reasons I assume , but such a shame as they were home to numerous squizzers!!!

I chose this shot as I like the twisted trunk of the tree....glad it has escaped the chainsaw!
