Spring - where are you?!

A cold wintry feel along the beach as an easterly wind rushed in ashore and thick heavy clouds hovered above. It was freezing down by the water, I could've done with my jacket and gloves but thought it was spring - nah, not today!

The light was changing constantly sometimes the sand dunes were lit and in a split second they were in darkness, that's the Port Hills of Christchurch in the distance on the left and I managed to capture a lone walker on the right.

No gulls, terns or oyster catches, just the Pacific Ocean in different shades of blue lapping the shore, some tracks left in the wet sand and yes plenty of driftwood which is quite common along this coastline.

Mum took a great shot which is just a bit further right of this shot, it's here if your interested.

I thoroughly enjoyed my day with mum, lovely to chat over lunch and to have some time out especially after the last few weeks with being so busy round the garden.

Groceries to put away now and tea to think about - Happy Thursday everyone :)
