The Sletts

The Sletts in Lerwick at mid-day today. The wind was gusting to around 60 mph at this point but the sea had been building up overnight with the strong southerly. Ferry south to Aberdeen took nearly 22 hours instead of the normal 12. Flights cancelled again but slowly but surely it is calming down although the rain is now very heavy.

The Gull in the foreground didn't seemed bothered by it all
