hannaheno's daily lives

Duhdurhdurhdurhdurhdurh durhhh durhhhh

(That's Douglas the Lurpak trombonist ... anyone British will remember the ad campaign that, amazingly, ran for 20 years featuring said character).

Went to Sainsbury's today in Northfield, for a change from our local Waitrose. Change left over at the end too - boom boom - unlike a trip to Much Loved W.

It was hellishly frenetic in there - we never shop on Saturdays if we can help it - and really quite overwhelming. Did a quick whip round and escaped back the tranquility of Harborne, checking on our elderly neighbour across the road who has multiple cancers and is currently bed bound. Very unusual for him, he's a complete stoic.

What I really wanted to blip today was a picture of the score at the end of today's FA cup quarter final, but I feel I have probably flogged this horse a bit too much already - however, the great news is, we are through to the FA cup semis (sorry Birmingham), which, given the circs, is very emotional. I shed a small private tear or two.

PS. I do like butter.
