Ferry Jam

I was on Bute this morning for the Service of Remembrance at the War Memorial which sits right by the ferry pier. In fact the traffic on and off the ferries has to stop during the service, which today included a queue just unloaded from a boat. Some of those involved came and watched the very simple and effective service taken by Andrew Swift, Episcopal Rector of Dunoon & Rothesay and another blipper.

At Rhubodach there was another type of ferry jam - the Loch Alainn was just about to take over from the Loch Dunvegan when we crossed first thing as the Dunvegan is going for her annual refit. But when we came back they were still doing something to the boat, which meant there was an unusual pressure for space on the slipway which is itself about to be upgraded and widened.

You can also view this LARGE - it is quite an unusual sight.
