Black on Black

Another excursion on the Fife Coastal Path today. This time from Macduff Castle to Ravenscraig Castle. At the beach just before West Wemyss I was fascinated to find so much beach coal and black stones. The whole area was historically where coal was mined, and the nearby Frances Colliery was active until 1985, closing for good in 1988. There was quite a lot of interest in this section of the path, and I've added some more photographs here. However, from West Weymss I was walking in rain, so didn't take many photographs.
