Sunday 7 March 2010: Radio, Live Transmission
A day spent listening to Ollie going over VHF radio procedures at Port Edgar. Eddie, a fellow oldie, who I met dinghy sailing last summer was there too. He's ahead of me and has already got his mitts on a nice little 1970s Swedish boat. All teak inside and rather nice.
Seeing as I'm whooring my services as crew, he'll give me a shout when it's back in the water in April. On the way out Port Edgar I spotted this pair of Hunter 707s laid up; I've a five day course on these in May.
Oh, and I passed the exam and am now qualified to tell the coastguards that I'm lost. 6:30pm. The sun is well over the yardarm. Waiter!
