Fairy Blush

Another newbie to my garden and one I absolutely love. Fairy Magnolia Blush is a Michelia hybrid bred by renowned New Zealand breeder Mark Jury. It has beautiful fragrant flowers blushed lilac pink and evergreen foliage flowering mid to late spring. It sits along the western boundary greeting the morning sun and later, during the heat of the day, enjoying the shade.

Thank you so much for all the lovely words, stars and hearts for yesterday's tiny rosebud which enjoyed some time on the spotlight. It was interesting to learn about everyone's favourite red roses, the names and for some what they represented. I always find red rather challenging and prefer to capture when the light is not quite so strong, therefore leaving red as red and not turning it to vibrant pink.

A quick shot taken early this morning as I was heading out to the Mall with mum for some Christmas shopping. Since then the day has turned miserably cold and very wet but good for my new lawn.

Mid-week here and a short week with Friday being Canterbury Anniversary and Show Day - Happy Wednesday everyone :)
