monkey gibbons

A fine bright day.

Our young tree surgeon friend came by to cut the large eucalyptus that's too close to the house down to size. We were very worried that it might not withstand another winter of storms.
His surname is Gibbons and he was teased mercilessly at school, he was telling us, they called him Monkey Gibbons. As you can see he has grown into that name and made it something to be proud of.
More shots here.

All went well with the eucalyptus. Then we moved on to some other pruning jobs, himself got too close and got whacked on the head by a falling branch.
There was lots of blood and we had to make an emergency trip to the surgery where he manfully bore having two stitches put in without anaesthetic.

He's fine now.
