Old and New

Feeling a bit better today so I popped into town for a bit of fresh air, I ended up on the Royal Mile just before sunset and caught this image from the corner of Jeffrey Street. In the background is Calton Hill, the Marty's Monument in Old Calton Cemetry on the left, the remains of the old jail (the round castle like towers, I believe, used to be the governers house beside it which is now part of St. Andrew's House, catching the last of the sunlight on it's windows and the contrasting new architecture of the Council building in the foreground.
