Beinn Ghobhlach from Loch Achall

Our first walk of the week. We decided, after our long drive yesterday, that we'd keep it local today. So from Ullapool we walked up Ullapool Hill and then on to Loch Achall and back again. We were very pleased to see a couple of young red deer up on the hillside, watching us intently and spent most of the walk by the loch with a delightful dipper!

It was cloudy and we had some rain but we had a good day. We finished it off with mulled wine in the Ceilidh Place and a visit to the brilliant Ullapool bookshop.

A little time to chill before eating out later........perfect!
