Life's Little Moments

Stormy skies

First things first ... we heard from the vet and Rocket's blood work is all perfect. Huge relief as we were worried that he might have kidney problems or something. The vet said there is no obvious explanation for the seizure, if that is what it was. Advice is to keep an eye on him and get him back in if it happens again. It is possible that it will end up being just an isolated incident, maybe triggered by the recent stress of moving. In any event, he is his usual grouchy self and we couldn't be happier. Thank you so very much for all the kind and concerned comments!

Today we awoke to temps of 60, which have now dropped to about 50 (F). It's windy and damp, not that nice for being out. That said, I drug hubs to the beach (after both of us getting our flu shots - yay, us!). There were only a couple of brave souls out today to walk along the beach, but I loved seeing the stormy seas, the angry skies and the scurry of little shorebirds racing the waves. Took a bunch of pictures, mostly just fooling around. Kept coming back to this one...

I posted three other seascapes (two in mono - would be interested in your impressions/opinions), an anhinga and a close up of a ring-billed gull. All posted HERE on Flickr.

Dinner tonight will be cobb salad with some leftover roasted chicken. I love cobb salad but haven't ever actually made one before. Am enjoying having this time with hubs - we're just pottering and enjoying being with each other. So glad he left the job ...

Have a Terrific Tuesday, people...
