Sgwarnog: In the Field

Philharmonic

The Liverpool Philharmonic exercised some small hold over my childhood imagination, as for a time, my Mum and Dad traveled there monthly to take in a concert. On these occasions they would dress up, we might have a baby sitter, there would often be Russian fish pie for tea and they would bring a programme back which we could look at the next morning.

I'd never seen it before, but today I found myself walking past the Philharmonic Hall on my way back from a meeting at the uni.

Probably the second finest cultural establishment in the city, after this place.
