Pelican

Now that the weather has turned cold, pelicans have returned to the WesternBranch of the Lynnhaven. In colder weather, fish in the bay and ocean head for deeper water offering fewer chances for the birds catch them. In the shallower river, fish are easier for the birds to catch. They'll be here until Spring.
