Not an Ancient Monument

It's the great wall of Glenlough, as we call it. I'm unsure when it was built or even it's function, rumor has it that it that it marks the townland boundary or maybe it's to limit the cattle straying to far over the commonage. It was looking amazing on this gorgeous November day, I think the structure of it is quite amazing!
Off to see a friend who has broken her ankle, doesn't bear thinking about the implications of that living out here if one couldn't drive!
