Riverside Fungi

For our monthly blipmeet today we walked around the Drimoleague heritage trail. The views were familiar from passing through this landscape on the way to Cork but the intimate landscape was quite new. For a while the walk was alongside the Ilen River, it was rather lovely with the dappled sunshine on the water and mossy banks. We spotted a few fungi here on tree branches and amongst the mosses and ferns and later we saw Goldcrests in a stand of conifer and Fieldfares in the grassy fields.
Back to Bats for tea, scones and cake!
