Thursday 11 March 2010: Ten days old
Dorothy and Joseph's third son, fourth child.
Ten days ago Dorothy had her fourth child, the eldest being a girl, now 16 y/o.
Today we (Cecile, myself and Mom) went to pay our respects. We took many gifts, groceries and tea time treats to brighten the occasion. Dorothy and her family stay in a small house; and although they are having a family room added, it is taking time and money.
She is in my employment as a trusted and wonderful domestic help - currently on four month's maternity leave, she will be back to resume her usual duties beginning June.
This addition to the family came as a shock to her, as she had reached the age where babies were not really in the picture anymore.
Yet, looking at her today, she looks fine, stately (she is a very proud woman - and beautiful!), a bit tired, but handling the situation as if it had only been yesterday since her youngest, a 6 y/o boy had been born ...
I wish Dorothy and her family only the very best - may happiness and togetherness bind them together.
