Fife College Kirkcaldy circa 4pm

Still the afternoon, but of course days are short and getting shorter. I was walking up towards Fife College and thinking of the hundreds of students and staff working inside with the lights on, hopefully both in their classrooms and their heads!

The Principal Hugh Logan, on taking over college leadership from an earlier regime that attracted a lot of controversy, was suitably unimpressed by the huge and palatial suite of Principal offices he inherited, that had been constructed as part of the new build. He turned the area into learning spaces for students, and took himself off to more modest office space. Good for him I say!

The lights are still on in education, and some people are still putting the interests of students before their own aggrandisement.
