I previously Blipped the old Renfrew Ferry which is due to go out of service at the end of this month.

They have been looking at several alternatives and today it was the turn of this one. Its tiny by comparison and can only hold a dozen passengers at most. It is very fast but speed isn't all that important since the crossing is only 200 metres across.

Other contenders are the 50 passenger Dutch built amphibus, and an inflatable boat from Silvers Marine.

Whatever the outcome its hoped that some kind of service will be available.
