WfZ PHLOGS

The little things

As a fully voluntary organisation we did not set out to change the world but rather to help a few people along the way to access clean, safe drinking water.
Now that the numbers are well past the 600,000 mark, and that we have 42 preschools and he 28,000 fruit tree seedlings this year, I have to add that I rarely mention numbers, because they are just numbers, where each one person is precious to us.

The picture and report from our new boss Alepher may show what I mean (about numbers).

Wells for Zoe: We will help with clothes and soap for the start. At the same time I will begin advocacy on their behalf.
We will help them with one shallow well to ease the burden of drawing water.
I went with Francisco from St John of God Services on his motorbike . Later in the day we also went back, that long distance (remember?) to Chiguera, with the ten women from Dedza to meet the women’s self-help groups, as a training. These were the most motivated group we have met and the women came away really fired-up, as you say. It was exciting. They spent the rest of the week on the farm and go to pump installations tomorrow, and home on Friday.
Thank you boss
Alepher reporting.
