Two For The Price of One!

Here's DdDd in our local Indian restaurant.

It's been a stay at home day under orders from the British Council due to threatened mass marches by former President Mursi's supporters. The main bridges across the Nile were closed as the city braced itself for trouble. The marches failed to materialise but several military were shot dead in drive-by shootings including two generals and several young conscripts standing guard behind thick metal screen outside sensitive buildings, the latter drowned by their man-sized helmets with their boy shoulders drooping under the weight of their bullet proof vests, just like the young soldiers around the block where we stay. Unfortunately, the vests weren't bullet proof enough today and there will be weeping in several homes in the Nile Delta and Valley.
