Against the flow

This crazy dog (not mine I hasten to add) was jumping in and out of the really fast flowing River Derwent at Stamford Bridge. I had intended to blip the Bridge with the rising waters but the dog was more interesting.

Stamford Bridge is where the two King Harolds, one English and one Norwegian fought each other in 1066. The English King Harold won the battle and then three weeks later got himself killed at the Battle of Hastings. You would think people would have learnt about the futility of war with all this experience to draw from!
