The magic begins.

A full day out of pre Christmas treats.

Grace and John arrived last night and this morning we took the train into Leeds with the crowds. Our first stop was here at the Weihnachtsmarkt in Millennium Square. After a look around we settled on eating the biggest sausages ever followed by a cup of Gluhwein in these little Santa mugs. Chocolate gifts were then purchased including a chocolate spanner!

Our next stop was the West Yorkshire Playhouse for a matinee performance of 'White Christmas'. A fabulous show full of nostalgia for Grace as just over a year ago she was playing one of the lead parts in a production in Bristol. We thought her's was a little better not just for her performance but for the abundance of snow produced at the end both inside and outside the theatre. Here it was a little spartan but I must admit the part of Martha Watson was a stand out performance from Melanie La Barrie.

Leeds was amazingly busy when we left the theatre so our planned cocktail in Brown's looked in jeopardy but we managed to get in to Jamies's for a drink or two before heading down to Loch Fyne for our booked table for dinner.

A lovely day out and a great way to kick start the season with Advent Sunday tomorrow. Pooped now so off to bed!
