Winter white

Just my luck to have arranged to do a car photoshoot today. Opened the curtains this morning to a gloomy sky, poor light and a slight but steady drizzle. Grrr. It can be such a headache trying to make cars look good for a magazine feature when the conditions are so dismal.

One problem is knowing that the cars can be freshly spruced in a car wash, but within a few miles on damp winter roads they will be grubby again. Especially one in a bright shade of winter white. So it was a slow, careful drive on back roads to our photo location.

We had a cunning plan, for which credit must go to my chum the magazine editor. Bright lights on one of the lesser used levels of a shopping centre car park provided a better backdrop than the dull daylight outside. So here is what I am driving for the rest of the week, a hunky white Peugeot RCZ. I'm going to enjoy it. Photoshoot done, problem solved, no more angst about grotty weather.
