December/ABC Challenge

This charmingly primitive nativity was a gift from a younger brother more than 25 years ago. He worked as a staff counselor at a place called "The Farm", which cared for behaviorally and mentally challenged children. Most of them were permanent residents who had been placed there by families who couldn't care for them at home. This was one of the many craft projects that the residents could make while learning to use different tools. This is a dual challenge photo for chantler's December challenge and LeeAnn's Christmas ABC challenge. The color was brown, and "C" is for creche. I have at least four different nativity sets, but this is probably my favorite in its' simplicity.
