First hellebore to bloom.......

I have been watching this bloom for a couple of days and waiting for it to come out, today was the day! In between showers, tripod, cable release, right angle viewfinder together with macro lens were set up to blip this delightful flower, commonly called a Christmas Rose. Why do I give myself extra challenges and use all the new gadgets at once, hey ho I was pleased with the result, so it was worth it.

I think this qualifies for the December challenge --number one in flower!
