Fatehpur Sikri - An abandoned city

Today we headed out to Fatehpur Sikri, an abandoned city close to Agra, It was founded in 1569 and served as the capital of the Mughal empire, until it was abandoned in 1585 due to a lack of water and political instability in the area.

Part of the city includes a mosque which is still in use, this blip is from the courtyard area, outside the actual mosque.

After this we returned to Agra to view the Taj Mahal from a couple of different locations and at sunset, then by moonlight.

In India with JuneFox, Colstro, John Gravett, new blipper JulieAnneKay and others in Agra for our India photo adventure.

Blips from the India trip being back blipped now we are all back home with easy internet access.
