A sad day

Today Gill and I drove to Port Macquarie to our friend Gail's father's funeral. We picked Barry up at Port Macquarie airport, had a lovely lunch by the river and then went to the funeral and met our other close friends, Peter and John and another friend of Gail's Pam. Gail's dad was nearly 90 and had had a good life but never the less it was a sad event. While waiting for Barry at the airport I turned on the car radio and heard about the siege. I can't believe that this is happening in Sydney. We stopped at the Lighthouse on the way home and as we were doing, people were checking the media on their phones to find out what was happening with the siege. It was a very sad day. I am hoping and praying that it all turns out OK.
