Leicester Cathedral

My planned trip to Cardiff today was cancelled, so I took the opportunity to nip into Leicester city centre for a quick look around after work. Mainly to look for Christmas lights, but I found myself in the newly refurbished area around the Cathedral and the Richard III Experience.

I've not actually really explored this part of town, and I found it a nice area, and I will be back in daylight too.

I liked this low down point of view of the Cathedral, with the paving stones resembling basalt columns in the foreground.

I'll try and comment before the big shutdown for the Blip upgrade tonight. Catch you on the Light side!
