Bricked up

Just above the little window I blipped the other day, there's this lovely old mullioned window which had been bricked up on one side. The other side is open and the house is empty .... so sad. Unfortunately, people would rather live in one of the 100 new houses they're going to build on the hillside near our garden than in an old house with character in the village.

This street, Carrieira Escura, is so narrow that this was the best view/angle I could get. The angle hides the old trainer shoe that has been left on the cross-bar of the mullion frame - I don't know if that's good or bad!
