Saturday 20 March 2010: uncharacteristicism
It was very sunny today, so I stayed in all morning doing a few jobs in the hope that it would go away and return to being nice and overcast and cool. It did not relent, so I had to walk around in the heat of the unpleasant directly-sunlit non-haze-softened difficult-to-photograph outside for a while. The heat also seemed to be affecting other people, causing them to either ignore queues or serve people who pushed in front of people who were queueing at a popular orange-signed supermarket's customer services counter. Although the pusher-in was only swapping light-bulbs rather than knives he looked like he might still have used them on anyone who challenged him so I settled for staring incredulously at the back of his lumpy head until his business was transacted.
