Saturday 20 March 2010: Oh the River Tweed..
What a great day: as it brightened and we motley crew of canoeists headed down from Innerleithen, I've got to admit it was joyously joyous fun. The stones in the river bed, the continually changing landscapes, the gentle stroking of paddles (check this out. Ed) and great fruit cake too.
After a full day of this paddling stuff, we headed back to the tents via the Traquair Arms and wondered why the gritting lorries were out on the roads.
