Saturday 27 March 2010: Thoughts of a dying atheist
I cycled up to the second Severn crossing today, a trip that took me thru the optimistically named Avonmouth Village and Severn Beach (no sign of either a village or a beach unfortunately). It was about 28 miles there. My original plan was to come back the same way but when I left Severn Beach I saw a cycle route signed to Bristol and thought I'd take it instead. Turned out to be a bit of a mistake. The route back took me through Cribbs Causeway and Filton - though it was mainly on cycle paths so not as bad as it might have been.
In the end I did about 53 miles in total - and about 20 miles into my route I completed the first 1000 miles of my 4000 mile challenge.
I went to the bridge specifically to take a photo but when I got there the light wasn't great. Shame :-(
I know you're in this room
I'm sure I heard you sigh
floating in-between
where our worlds collide
