Liquid Gold.

After the deluge of yesterday, today was absolutely beautiful. Just the sort of day to spend in a classroom.

Unlike me to escape school at the bell, but I couldn't wait to get along the beach; I was stunned by the colour of the water. You could tell by the crashing of the waves that the yellow/gold colour was not just down to the sand.

It dawned on me that it was peat. All those rivers and burns, including the one I blipped yesterday have come rushing off the peat-soaked hills and flowed into the sea.
