Saturday 3 April 2010: Blippers are over the top!
So today is my one hundredth blip! In one hundred days I have only missed one day. Can't believe how consistent I've been. If only I could be so consistent with exercise, I'd be so fit!
I began Blipfoto on Christmas Eve and have reached my hundredth day on the eve of Easter. Two very important holidays for me. Makes it all the more special to me. I want to thank Old Guy & The Sea for telling me about Blipfoto, a fellow photographer I met while out photographing the Heceta Head Lighthouse in Florence, Oregon before Christmas.
My whole goal in joining Blipfoto was to improve my skills and become a better photographer. I know I have a lot to learn, but I feel like I've learned so much from you, the Blip community and your wonderful, inspiring photos.
Because of Blipfoto, I have signed up for a flowing waterfall workshop, signed up for a Photoshop class specifically for photographers and attended the PacNW Blip Meet and met some incredibly talented women. I'm constantly thinking about the things around me and wondering what would make a good photo.
When I thought about what I would do for my one hundredth blip, I decided this week would be all about the surf because of our crazy weather and unusually high surf for this time of the year. I can't remember there being so many days of large swells in the past. So this is a photo of another large splash and I promise, I will move on to something new to blip in the coming weeks :) Looks best viewed larger.
Thanks for stopping by and for all your great feedback! Blippers are definitely over the top!
