From the North

Where the eastern roses bear to grow

This is Alho, one of the villages of Kurkijoki. My grandgrandparents needed to leave it over 70 years ago since the Winter War. It's sad that nobody really cares about the Eastern Karelia in these days. The buildings rot, the roads are poor and people disregard the environment by littering it. Everything seems to be neglected and that's inscrutable. I really can't stand it.
