Thursday 15 April 2010: Miles From Anywhere

Backblip: One of my main reasons fro visiting Oban is a trip to Easdale Island. It's a totally unique place that is both breathtakingly beautiful and surreal (with all the slate). You reach it by a small ferry called by a hooter from the waiting room and when you get there you can eat and drink at the wonderful Puffer Bar (Venison burgers and Black pudding rolls thoroughly recommended). The walks around the island are wonderful wiht brilliant views.

This is a place I know I'll come back to time and again...next visit may well be for the World Stone Skimming Championships!!
