Shaking himself off!

Lovely sunny day, but rather cool, especially after the almost record highs we had been experiencing earlier in the week. After our weekend away last weekend, it was time to stay home and get a few jobs done, as well as making time for phone calls. Roger always talks to his parents on the weekend, and then our daughter Jen called from Texas. I got some laundry and ironing done while Roger did a bit of maintenance on the mower, then I cut the grass while he went out and ran some errands. Later in the afternoon we took time to go to the 'Y' - Roger went to the gym, while I swam. We took a detour on the way home and went to Lake Isabella Park where I captured this duck, preening himself, then submerging himself several times and finally shaking himself off. Then this evening we enjoyed a good dinner (at home) and watched a movie.
