Brighton Marathon finish

Five hours after the start of the inaugural Brighton Marathon, which I completed today in 3:45:34, the finish was in Madeira Drive, where the baggage lorries were lined up, adjacent to the charity and post-race treatment tents.

This is the scene from Marine Parade, after I'd clambered up the many steps from the repatriation area below in a queue hundreds deep. I believe there were about 8,000 runners of all abilities taking part in this excellent race.

Conditions, as you can see from the heat haze, were hot.
