Sunday 18 April 2010: Finally Departed

The barge arrived way after coffee time. We connected our tow wire to the muddy chain and left the Bay of Guanabara around noon. A pity that it is sunday and fourteen million Rio people decided that our course track was the best place for fishing and sailing. We had to evade several small boats at close quarter. We were very glad to leave all this behind us and head for high seas. We will loose our satellite reception for at least 10 days very soon, so if this is the last blip, you know the reason. Our track to Angola will lead us close to Ilha Trindade and St.Helena, so maybe I can backblip these pictures later.
