After the Engineer had completed the Bike Race in just over the 4 hours( not bad for an old bloke.) we headed up to Punakaiki to the Rocks Restort for dinner and the night,A well earned treat after a big day on the bike. It had been stormey on the coast for the previous few day and there was a huge sea running with 12 to 20 foot swells and breakers crashing onto the beach. Unfortunatly the light was rather dull but I managed to capture the drama in a moment of filtered light using a telephoto.
