Lifting

Lifting up the casing of the combined HP/MP steamturbine of unit EC 7 because it's impossible to get the shaftline free of vibrations.
So it's necessary to check the inside of all the components of the shaftline like the gasturbine, HP/MP steamturbine and the Low Pressure steamturbine (you can see that one in the back; the grey casing)
The lifting has to be done very carefully, just hoisting it up is dangerous, all clearances have to be the same at all sides so we use the small blocks, attached to the main (yellow) block to level everything.
Plenty people around to check if everything is going right.
At the top you can see the flange where the connection is made to the HP turbine.
Made of thick steel to whitstand a steampressure of 135 bar with a temperature of 540°Centigrade
