Thursday 22 April 2010: up and running in the polls

So on the weekend two of us decided this would be cool...

4 days later, and not much sleep, I am proud to say the geek in me found it very very cool

Real time stats pumping out minute by minute, answer by answer in the UK elections debate.

There was a moment of shock at the end of it all when the YouGov poll announced Cameron as on top.

5minutes before the end we had already declared Clegg the winner, with Cameron a long way last.

Thankfully for my own satisfaction most of the polls are finally catching up and deciding Clegg is the winner (and that the people at YouGov clearly smoke pot), meaning not only did our tool work, but we were also one of the first predictions out there.

The geek in me will sleep happy tonight with wiggle worm charts of real time stats running through my dreams :-)
