Hang out the flags!

The day started uncomfortably early so that we could do the annual Breeding Bird Survey walk for the BTO. Mostly pigeons and seagulls in our very urban map square, but there were a few willow warblers in Pilrig Park.

Then, after a brief flurry with the neighbours helping to tidy up round our building, it was out to Gorebridge for a splendid hoosewarming.

We were the first guests to arrive so naturally fell to helping with a few last minute preparations. Usually the chaps tend to confine themselves to firemaking and BBQ duties, but when there's bunting to be displayed and no step-ladder available they just improvise, bless 'em!
